Abstract: A project about if transit vehicles comes on time, and if they are predictable with Calgary Transit data for Fall 2021. 1. To find out if transit vehicles come on time by coding a software program that will link the route’s public schedules (GTFS) to the GPS arrive times. 2. Implement a software program to answer the following questions: percentage of buses running on time, late, or earlier in the whole system and per route according to time of day (rush hour or not), if route is consistently late, is the trip caused bad run times or the previous trip. 3.Find, research, and implement different algorithms that could predict transit arrival times.
