Abstract: Plant modeling is a vital subdomain of computer graphics, and is widely used in botanical research. As such, the focus of the field is usually directed towards generating biologically correct models. Until now, there is very little research on adding unnatural features to plants procedurally, which would make creating more diverse fantasy ecosystems considerably easier. The scope of this thesis is limited to single-compound flowers, as modeling a simple structure allows the focus to be on adding the fantasy elements. The modeler is a component-based system that will create a base flower structure and subsequently augment it with bestial features to create a fantastical species. The petals and leaves of the flower can be sharp and pointed in order to support a dangerous appearance as well. The models created in this work are intended to inspire enemies or NPCs which would be applicable in game development. I seek to enhance the creativity of artists and the modeler supports export to 3D modeling software for further manipulation.
